Popular storytime event at library

By Farnham Herald in Community News

FARNHAM library in West Street is re-launching its popular Storytime event on Monday, April 24, perfect for children ages five and under.

Vanessa Jones, library network assistant, said: “Visitors will be encouraged to take a special Storytime ticket from outside the library, we will read two stories with participatory help from the children, have a themed craft each week, enjoy some much needed snacks, and we will sing a few songs to finish off the morning.

The hour-long session will run every Monday at 10.30am, term-time only. Also mixed into the morning will be a community coffee morning.

“Storytime used to last half an hour but we really want to encourage the community to come together,” added Vanessa.

“We want to encourage both the young and the old to visit our fantastic library, where the elderly can enjoy a chat over a coffee while the children are enjoying a story, craft or juice.

“The morning is completely free but we do welcome donations from our members and visitors.”
