A REWARD has been offered by LMC Citroen, in Farnham Road, Kingsley, after burglars stole a truck flatbed.
Overnight between Monday and Tuesday this week, thieves broke into the premises and stole the entire flatbed of the firm’s recovery truck.
LMC service manager Mark Jordan said the theft would have a huge impact on the business and offered a reward of £1,000 for information leading to an arrest or the equipment’s return.
The thieves broke padlocks and smashed a window to release the flatbed, before towing it away.
“They knew what they were doing,” said Mr Jordan, who estimated that the flatbed was worth between £5,000 and £8,000.
While the firm can can claim on its insurance, the crime has disrupted the business.
The burglary followed a “series of burglaries” in Greatham, Liss and Four Marks last Friday, according to Hampshire police.
In a statement, Hampshire Constabulary said: “The burglaries took place in Longmoor Road in Greatham; Mill Road, Syers Road and Hill Brow Road in Liss, and Fairlight Gardens in Four Marks.
“A silver, five-door car was seen in Longmoor Road and a rental tipper van was seen in Hill Brow Road, which we’d like to eliminate from our enquiries.”
