CRIMINAL damage has been caused to a charity base in Bordon by a group of teenagers.

Furniture Helpline, which supplies free or low cost furniture and kitchen appliances to anyone in need, was targeted by “kids” last Thursday night, February 6.

A post on the charity’s Facebook page on Friday read: “Kids climbed on our roof last night just to destroy the guttering!

“Fortunately our CCTV captured clear images of the three of them up to their mischief, and the footage is now with the police.

“It may seem trivial, just some guttering, however it is not an isolated incident and each time costs us money to rectify.

“This is money that could be spent on people that need us, our resources are not infinite.”

A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: “We are investigating a report of criminal damage at the Furniture Helpline on Hampshire Road, Bordon.

“It was reported that four boys believed to be around 13 years old climbed onto the roof and damaged some guttering.

“Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information can call 101 quoting 44200047579.”
