A FARNHAM resident returned home to find a burglar hiding in their en suite bathroom in Searle Road on Wednesday.

Surrey Police is appealing for the public’s help following the break-in, which has been linked to a man knocking on doors in the same road.

A spokesman said: “Officers were called to Searle Road following reports of a homeowner returning home at 12.40pm to find the suspect hiding in the en suite bathroom of their master bedroom. When found, he ran out and managed to escape.

“It is believed that this suspect may be linked to a person who has been knocking on doors in Searle Road and asking for a glass of water.

“The suspect has been described as having a Mediterranean complexion, aged in his 30s, around 5’8” tall and of stocky build.

“He has dark short hair with a moustache and stubble. He was wearing dark coloured tracksuit bottoms and hooded top and it is believed he was not wearing shoes.
