COUNTRYWIDE Farmers Store in Station Road, Liphook, was the target of a burglary, when the front entrance windows were smashed and a fire extinguisher discharged outside.

Police confirmed that they have arrested a 19-year-old man, from Petersfield, on suspicion of burglary, after he was caught on CCTV.

He was released from custody but remains under investigation.

The incident took place on Thursday, February 22, between 1.35am and 1.50am.
