A Farnham man has been arrested after a cyclist was seriously injured in a collision in Aldershot.

Police were called at 5.21pm on Monday, February 3, to reports of a crash at the Cranmore Lane roundabout with the A325 Farnborough Road.

A black Mitsubishi was in collision with a cyclist, a man in his 60s, who was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver, a 66-year-old man from Farnham, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving, driving while unfit through drink or drugs, and failing to provide a field impairment test. He has been released on police bail as enquiries continue.

Officers have carried out a number of enquiries and are appealing for anyone with information, or dash-cam footage, to come forward.
