FIREFIGHTERS in Surrey have again pleaded with motorists to leave room for emergency vehicles when parking their vehicles.

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service posted on Twitter: “When parking your vehicles, remember to leave enough space to allow our emergency vehicles to pass.

“If we can't pass due to parked vehicles, this could delay our response to life threatening incidents.”

It follows an incident in Stoke Hills, Farnham in 2016 in which firefighters were forced to ‘bounce’ a car out of their way after finding their path to an emergency incident blocked by an inconsiderate driver.
