FURTHER details have been released about three serving police officers and one retired officer arrested following allegations of fraudulent activity at the Police Federation.
It was revealed those arrested by Surrey Police and released on bail in March included two serving Metropolitan Police officers, one South Wales Police officer, and a retired Greater Manchester Police officer. The investigation by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) relates to the alleged transfer of £1 million to a charitable account connected to the federation.
The IPCC said it will carry out a “thorough independent investigation”, and that it was liaising with Surrey Police about the handover of documentation relating to the case centring around the federation’s Leatherhead HQ.
