POLICE have arrested a 45-year-old man in connection with October’s ram raid at Andre Noir jewellers in Lion and Lamb Yard, Farnham.

Officers were called shortly after 11.30pm on Thursday, October 18, after thieves smashed a motorbike through the front door of the jewellers, the first such raid in its 34-year history

The two suspects spent around one minute in the shop before making off along West Street toward Crondall with a haul worth around £40,000.

Surrey Police confirmed the man was arrested on December 20.

Investigating officer, Sergeant Stephen Bullard, of West Surrey CID, said: “This arrest is good news but our investigations are still ongoing so if you have any information please get in touch.”
