A HINDHEAD man and a woman “of no fixed address” have been arrested in connection with burglaries Churt and Farnham, police have confirmed.

The Herald recently reported that three people had been arrested in connection with a spate of burglaries across the Farnham and Haslemere area, but that no further details were available.

Surrey Police has since confirmed a 42 year-old man and a 37-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of burglary after homes were targeted in Churt on August 16 and Farnham the same day.

A police spokesman told the Herald the duo have already been charged with burglaries in Sussex but not yet charged with any offences in Surrey.

The spokesman added: “They have been interviewed and released under investigation, and enquiries remain ongoing.”
