SURREY Police is appealing for information after a restaurant in Farnham was deliberately set on fire.

The fire service was called out in the early hours of Monday (March 11) after the blaze broke out at Heaven’s Kitchen in East Street.

An investigation by fire investigators established that the fire was arson and police were informed.

A fire also broke out at a flat in Shortheath Road on Sunday (March 10), at around 10pm.

Residents were evacuated, but have since been allowed back into the building.

It was a “small electrical fire”, according to one of the firefighters on duty, and is believed to have been caused by a light fitting in an airing cupboard.

Three fire engines from Farnham and Rushmoor fire stations were on the scene. They reportedly left the scene at 11.50pm.
