SURREY Police are appealing to find the rightful owners of a haul of items recovered from a pair of suspected burglars in Farnham.

It comes after police arrested a man and a woman in Farnham on Thursday, February 22, on suspicion of burglary after their transit van was stopped.

Some of the items include medals dated from 1914 to 1949, a Rolex watch, earrings and a wedding band.

Police have also been encouraging people to mark their property with a forensic marking product and to register them.

The news follows a spate of seven burglaries in just seven days in the Farnham area, between January 26 and February 1.

Thieves targeted homes in Lower Bourne, Lower Hale, Crooksbury Road, Tilford, Elstead and Churt.
