POLICE officers searching for missing man Christian Rossiter, 29, from Farringdon near Alton, have found a body.

A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: "A man’s body was discovered today, March 23, in a wooded area in Farringdon.

"Formal identification has yet to take place, but Christian’s next of kin have been informed.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

"We would like to thank everyone who has offered to help with the searches, and supported us in sharing our appeals."

The 29-year-old was last seen between midday and 2pm on Monday, March 22, at his home in Lower Farringdon. He was last in contact with his family at 3.15pm that same day.

Launching an urgent appeal for sightings of Mr Rossiter, police added the missing man was a keen walker with "good local knowledge of the area".
