SURREY Police are appealing for witnesses to “do the right thing” after a gang of masked thieves targeted Licked Bar in The Woolmead.
As reported in last week’s Herald, three intruders made off with around £5,000 after breaking into the closed bar’s safe at around 9.50pm on Sunday, July 31.
They forced entry through a rear door and completed the burglary in just three minutes - hinting the criminals were familiar with the club.
The suspects were captured on the bar’s CCTV and owners, brothers Ollie and George Moore, are offering a £1,000 reward for any names that lead to a conviction.
Investigating officer Pc Katherine Farmer, said: “We want to find those responsible and return the stolen money to the business owner as soon as possible.
“We believe that there is a high possibility that the burglars were familiar with the layout of the bar and therefore knew where to find the money.
“If you saw something or someone acting suspiciously around the time of the incident or in the area, then we want you to get in touch as you could hold the key to solving this investigation.
“Alternatively, if you are reading this and you are or you know the person that stole the money, then do the right thing and hand yourself in.”
