SURREY Police are warning car owners to be vigilant after a spate of vehicle break-ins in Farnham and Godalming.

The first break-in took place in Grange Road, Farnham, on Friday, April 7, between 2.15pm and 3:30pm when a parked vehicle was broken into and items were stolen.

A second break-in took place on Saturday, April 8, between 11.15am and 12.20pm in Webb Road, Godalming, where another parked vehicle had a passenger window smashed and a purse was stolen.

Pc Will Davies, Neighbourhood Specialist Officer for West Waverley said: “Over the weekend during the warm weather we are aware that many members of the public would have been out walking in public areas.

“Following a number of reports of vehicles being broken into, I would urge people to remain vigilant in keeping their vehicles secured when parking in a public area and ensuring all personal possessions are removed.”
