THE manager of an Italian high street restaurant who filmed women using the toilet after setting up a secret camera at his Castle Street eatery has been allowed to walk free from court.

Leigh Crocker was caught emailing stills of the depraved videos to himself from an account at the Zizzi restaurant he ran.

When the 36 year old was arrested police searched his computer and found 19 indecent images of children.

He admitted two counts of voyeurism and two counts of making indecent images of children and was handed a three-year community order.

The disgraced restaurant manager was also ordered to carry out a 100-day sex offenders’ treatment programme and sign onto the Sex Offenders’ Register for five years.

A judge at Guildford Crown Court on Monday heard how Crocker had set up a camera in the disabled toilet - used by both staff and members of the public - at the restaurant in Castle Street.

His sick operation came to light on October 20 last year when he was found cropping the videos to show female genitalia, before sending the images to his personal email account from a work account.

Police later checked CCTV from the restaurant which showed him setting up the camera.

Following his arrest officers seized his computer which was found to contain 18 category C and one category A - the worst level - images of children.

Crocker, of Pusey Vale, Bracknell, Berks, was made the subject of a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order, restricting his use of the internet.A Zizzi spokesperson confirmed that Crocker’s contract was suspended as soon as the accusations were made, and following a full investigation his contract was terminated.
