A Waitrose security guard was taken to hospital after reportedly being hit by the car of an escaping shoplifter in Farnham.
Police were called to the supermarket’s car park in The Hart at around 4.10pm on Saturday, September 16.
A police spokesman confirmed a man in his 40s was taken to hospital for medical treatment and has since been discharged.
They added: “A theft investigation is under way following an allegation of shoplifting at the location.”
