A WOMAN had to be saved by Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS) after getting lost on a dog walk and stuck in mud near Blackmoor Golf Club.

Hampshire Police responded to reports of a woman being “trapped in mud” at around 6.45pm last Friday, February 7.

But a police spokesperson said they were “stood down after HFRS located the woman”.

HFRS confirmed crews from Cosham and Fareham attended the incident after they were requested by police to attend.

A spokesperson said: “A 50-year-old lady had called police as she had become lost on a dog walk and was up to her knees in a bog.

“Once the lady had been located she was walked out and led to safety by HFRS.”
