A MAN from Farnham has come forward after a car owner’s picture of a strange man sat in her stolen car went viral.
The woman, aged in her 20s, snapped the above picture when she confronted two men she found sat in her silver Ford Fiesta.
Her car was taken just a day earlier during a night-time burglary on Lowther Road, Bournemouth, on September 1, together with an iPad, iPhone, and car keys.
But later on Sunday afternoon, the woman was walking with her partner along Portchester Road when she saw her car parked up. One man was sitting in the front passenger seat and a second man was sitting in a rear seat.
When challenged, they both ran away, with the victim managing to take a photo of one of them before they made off. The keys were still in the ignition and the victim was able to recover her car.
Police confirmed a 24-year-old man from Farnham has since come forward following an appeal, has attended a voluntary interview with officers, and been released under investigation as police continue their enquiries.
No arrests have been made.
