DETECTIVES are appealing for help tracking down four World War I campaign medals stolen from a house in Farnham.

The medals, which belong to the owner’s late grandfather and hold significant sentimental value, were reported stolen from a house in Seale Lane on Monday, April 11, while the owner was in respite care.

One is a victory medal from World War I and another is a very special red, white and green medal awarded by the Italian government.

Detective Sergeant Andy Greaves from the West Surrey Criminal Investigation Department said: “I am urging anybody who has seen the medals or knows of their whereabouts to get in touch with us.

“We would love to be able to find these and return them in one piece - They may not be worth much money but they are priceless to the owner and his family.”

Surrey Police urges anybody with any information to call 101 quoting 45160029229 or use the online reporting system found at https://report.police.uk/ and enter the reference number in the ‘additional information’ section.
