WEYDON School staff and students dressed as their favourite superheroes in November to raise funds for charity.

Cake sales took place and the staff organised a flash-mob to take over the main playground area, much to the surprise of the students.

Many of the students joined in with the ‘Macarena’ and danced the conga around the grounds during lunchtime.

They raised £2,360 which will be shared between charities Make A Wish, Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care and Cancer Research.

Stuart Maginnis, deputy headteacher said: “Many thanks to all the staff and students for their support for these very worthy causes.”
