THE days of zig-zagging in and out of a proliferation of A boards which advertise Petersfield traders and their wares on the pavements of the town look to be numbered.

Hampshire County Council has sent letters to businesses in Petersfield to remove the signs from the pavements by next week – or face the consequences.
