Next year marks 400 years since the death of playwright William Shakespeare and the celebrations start early in Brook with a seminar at Fintry Retreat House in Church Lane, at the end of January.
Shakespeare scholar Joseph Milne leads ‘Shakespeare and The Divine Law of Nature: an Exploration of Shakespeare’s Dramatic Symbolism,’ on Saturday, January 30, from 10am-3.30pm.
Dr Milne has been leading seminars about the world-famous Bard at the Temenos Academy for 18 years, highlighting Shakespeare’s vision of the underlying divine laws that order the cosmos and shape human destiny.
A fellow of the Temenos Academy, trustee of The Eckhart Society, and editor of Land & Liberty magazine, until his retirement he was honorary lecturer in theology and religious studies at the University of Kent.
