JOIN Bake Natter and Roll Women’s Institute (WI) to mark International Women’s Day and celebrate 100 years of votes for women.
The WI branch is holding an event, open to the public, on Thursday, March 8, at 8pm at the United Reformed Church in Farnham.
A community engagement officer from the Houses of Parliament will present ‘From Suffrage and Beyond - a History of Votes for Women’.
There will be representatives from local community groups for women and girls, an underwear collection for ‘Smalls for All’ and a raffle.
Tea, coffee, wine and soft drinks will be available and, of course, homemade cake provided by WI members will be on sale.
All profits from this event will be donated to Home-Start in Waverley, a local charity who provide volunteer home visiting support for families who have at least one child under five years.
Tickets are £3 each and are available from [email protected].
