A level pupils have been celebrating excellent results over the past week, with Alton College and Alton Convent both recording almost perfect scores.

Alton College had a 99 per cent pass rate and 58 per of students gained the top two grades, while it was a perfect 100 at the convent where half the pupils achieved enough mark for an A or A*.

Lord Wandsworth College reported excellent English results with nearly all pupils getting their first or second choice places at university.
