CHURCHER’S College Junior School infants performed The King’s New Cloaks to a packed audience of parents, grandparents, staff, governors and the remainder of the school on prize-giving afternoon.
The play was set in a castle in need of new windows, when the arrival of two double glazing salesmen caused trouble for the royal family, in particular the king, who was given two cloaks – one which made him miserable and mean.
Youngsters from the Liphook-based school embraced the play with enthusiasm, singing, dancing and smiling their way through the performance, after learning numerous lines and songs.
Thankfully all turned out well in the end for the king and all his courtiers, with a perfect “happy-ever-after” scene closing the show.
