THE threat of bed cuts at Haslemere Hospital has been withdrawn. West Surrey Health Authority announced last Thursday that the community hospital beds will stay until 2004 while care in the home services are being built up.
However, under the new proposals the future of Milford Hospital does not look quite so secure after it was decided it was not an appropriate location for a local care centre.
