SCHOOLCHILDREN and residents of Chawton were delighted to have the chance to chat to royalty last week when Princess Alexandra visited the village.
Jane Austen's house was the focal point of her visit, which was part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of its having been opened as a museum.
