CHILDREN at St Nicolas’ School in Church Crookham took to the stage as they put on an array of Christmas Nativities.
The juniors performed their special rendition of ‘It’s a Miracle!’, the musical nativity which tells the story of two inns in Bethlehem, the friendly Traveller’s Rest and the up-market Bethlehem Towers.
As travellers crowded into town, the rival innkeepers and their families reacted in very different ways. Meanwhile Reuben, the innkeeper’s son, was working his first shift as a shepherd. As his colleagues snored around him something extraordinary happened.
“All of the pupils in the junior department worked very hard during rehearsals and really looked forward to performing this charming story,” said Josie Downer, head of drama.
Also jumping on the Christmas Nativity bandwagon with their ‘Mr Inn’s Inn’ Christmas play, was the year one and two pupils.
The story focused on two innkeepers in Bethlehem, Mr. Inn and Mr Out, and their journey to save their inns, after the council demanded that one must be demolished to make way for a multi-storey camel park
The nursery and reception pupils also impressed audiences with their performance of ‘Angel Express’.
This heartwarming tale took audience members on a journey to heaven, where there was great excitement when the Angel Express newspaper announced that Jesus was about to be born.
