THE Waverley Xplorer event returned to Farnham Park during half term and went down a treat despite the mud.

Around 120 people went along to the have fun outdoors and to complete a navigation challenge.

The half-hour course was aimed at primary and pre-school children, with everyone who took part receiving a certificate and stickers.

As well as the event in Farnham, families also made their way over to Broadwater Park in Farncombe for another free Xplorer event.

A spokesperson for Waverley Borough Council (WBC) said: “Lots of families came along and enjoyed the day, despite the weather.”

WBC confirmed that another Xplorer event would be held in the Easter holidays, with dates and times to be confirmed.
