POLICE have named a teenager who died after falling from a bridge over the A3 near Petersfield on Saturday night.
Damien Thomas, 17, from Stoneham Close, Petersfield, fell from the bridge shortly after 9pm and was believed to have been in collision with a Kia car being driven by a 61-year-old man from Waterlooville, according to the police.
The southbound carriageway of the A3 at Petersfield was closed shortly after the incident.
Neither the driver of the Kia Cee’d car nor his wife, who was a passenger in the car, were hurt. The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police are still appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
