THE victim of a fatal Christmas Day crash on the A31 Hogs Back has been named as former Gurkha soldier Narayan Gurung.

Mr Gurung, who was in his 60s and lived in Aldershot, died at the scene after his Ford Fiesta left the A31 eastbound carriageway and hit a tree just after 6.30am on Sunday, December 25.

His wife, in her 50s and a passenger at the time of the crash, suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital.
