AN abandoned trailer has caused chaos in Longley Road near Farnham Station over the past fortnight, blocking a pavement and two parking bays.

Waverley Borough Council issued a notice on December 23 - three days after the four-wheeled trailer was dumped - warning the owner to remove it in 24 hours or else it would be destroyed.

However, as the schools reopened on Tuesday, January 2, the unsightly object remained untouched.

According to a Longley Road resident, the trailer has caused great disruption for residents, pedestrians, commuters and parents dropping their children at school, not to mention an eye-sore.

A council spokesman said: “The contractor who removes vehicles was closed over Christmas – the instruction to remove the vehicle is with them and will be completed by the end of tomorrow [Thursday, January 5].”
