JMB Accountants in London Road supported this year’s Jeans for Genes Day, raising £1,608.25.

Organiser Jan Buckett said: “We held a charity auction at the Bramshott and Liphook Social Club and a ‘Jeanius’ quiz as well as a raffle with donations from local firms."

The day was held in association with Little Cherubs Nursery in Liphook, Cygnets Nursery, in Bordon, Little Saints Nursery, in Witley, and Jigsaw Montessori Nursery, in Petersfield.

There are between 4,000 and 6,000 diagnosed genetic disorders. It is estimated one-in-25 children is affected by a genetic disorder with 30,000 babies and children newly diagnosed in the UK each year.

Some genetic disorders are apparent at birth while others are diagnosed at different stages throughout childhood, and sometimes into adulthood.
