A LEAFLET warning Farnham businesses that they will lose custom because of a parking shortfall in the East Street development whipped up a storm this week.
Waverley's portfolio holder for the development, Adam Taylor-Smith, accused East Street Action, who distributed the leaflet, of "scaremongering" in a bid to derail the £80million redevelopment of the town centre and riverside.
He challenged the accuracy of claims being made by "negative people" that there will be a net loss of 148 public spaces.
