IN a week of festivities as the Queen celebrated the 60th anniversary of her coronation, one of those lucky enough to be invited to a royal garden party last Thursday was county councillor for Whitehill Adam Carew.
Royal garden parties are held four times a year - three at Buckingham Palace and once at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh. They are a way in which the Queen, now 87, can award public service nationally and at the community level.
Mr Carew said: "Jennie and I were thrilled to be invited to a royal garden party at the palace in the week before her majesty's 60th anniversary of her coronation.
