THE Health and Safety Executive has been asked to investigate after a builder injured by a piece of plant machinery was taken to hospital by air ambulance.

The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance was called to a business address in Holdfast Lane, in Haslemere, at around 4pm on January 8.

The man, who had a neck injury, was transferred to St George’s Hospital in Tooting. His injuries were not reported to be serious or life threatening, according to a spokesman for the air ambulance service.
