YOUNGSTERS playing on Hale Recreation Ground were given a shock last week when an air ambulance landed on the grass in front of them to attend a nearby emergency.

The helicopter flew in low over the houses and circled the small green before landing next to the cricket strip at 3.45pm last Friday.
