NINE-year-old Alexander Tasker is pumping up his tyres ready for the Farnham Charity Bike Ride this weekend to raise money for More House School.

Alexander has been training hard and has already taken on a number of steep hills to fully prepare himself.

Alexander, who currently plays as goalkeeper at Alton Hockey Club, noticed that the hockey equipment at his school (More House) is in need of replacement.

He hopes to raise enough money to buy new goal keeper equipment so he can take on this position and so pupils can compete in matches against other schools.

His fundraising page has attracted the attention of Tour de France champion Chris Froome who wished Alexander all the best on his ride and to try not to go out too hard, make sure to drink enough and most importantly stay safe.
