A FARNHAM girl, aged seven, raised more than £200 after having nine inches of her hair cut off in support of Children with Cancer UK and the Little Princess Trust.

Rosie, braced herself as she sat in the barbers chair at Spikes and Curls hairdressers in Downing Street, ready to say goodbye to nine inches of hair, which will then be sent to The Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs for children suffering hair loss.

However Rosie wanted to go that little bit further, and decided to raise money for Children with Cancer UK, alongside it.

Kelly Gray, Rosie’s mother, said: “She has raised just over £200. She had seen videos on YouTube and said it was a lovely thing to do, and then because her best friend Kai has alopecia, he has no hair at all, she said it would be really nice for him so he could have some hair if he wanted some.

“I told his mum and I thought she was going to cry, it’s so sweet but she’s just lovely. I am so proud of her, she is always thinking of others.”
