A DECISION by Tesco to open its Haslemere store 24 hours a day has horrified neighbouring residents, who claimed this week that they were not given any prior warning about the plans.
One resident, who lives near the store but did not wish to be named, said it had been sprung on the town as a "fait accompli with no prior warning or consultation".
A Tesco spokesman, however, claimed letters with details of the new hours had been circulated among residents in Homegreen House and Kinsgdale Resource Centre for the Elderly.
A full version of this story can be found in the Haslemere Herald of August 18.
