THERE was fun for all the family when Liphook infant and junior schools held their annual May fair, raising a record breaking sum of £5,000.
The entertainment included a display of karate and gymnastics, with children treating everyone to their country dancing skills, as well as a beautiful display by Haslemere Performing Arts. Children loved playing on the bouncy castles, face painting, a pottery smash, a myriad of stalls and enjoyed a delicious barbecue as well as ice cream provided by Dylan’s.
Executive headteacher Michele Frost said: “This has been a really fabulous May Fair and the glorious weather helped to make it a fantastic family afternoon.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved in making this possible, especially the schools’ PTA members from Liphook Infant School Friends Association and Friends of Liphook Junior School.
“The fair has raised an amazing record-breaking sum in excess of £5,000 which will go a long way towards a new outdoor activity area which will help to support our children’s learning."
