Alton, after some mediocre results recently, bounced back with nine goals in two games over the Easter period.
On Saturday, they trounced mid-table Ringwood 5-0 at the Bass Sports Ground.
Youth player Richard Meally put Alton in front with his first senior goal and new signing Danny Aspey-Jones made it 2-0 at the interval.
Aspey-Jones added another in the second half. Mark Benham got on the scoresheet after a surging run by Clive Ventham, and Trevor Frew completed the scoring, beating the 'keeper in a one-on-one.
Monday's result was even more satisfying. Alton beat local rivals Liss Athletic 4-2 on their own ground.
Gareth Billington struck first after intercepting a backpass. Trevor Frew netted twice, once from a quickly taken free-kick, and Mark Clothier scored possibly the best goal of the day – a dipping drive into the top corner.
Liss were still in touch at half-time, trailing 1-2, but, in truth, Alton had enough chances to win by six or seven.
Andy Sharratt had a particularly strong game in defence.
It's been a good week all round for Alton. The Reserves beat Overton 2-1 in mid-week and have virtually clinched promotion to the top division of the Combination. Robert Tyson got both goals, his second with a spectacular volley, while Mark Tigwell distinguished himself with a double save at a penalty.
Rob Morrad, who has attracted the attention of Molesey Town, was outstanding in midfield.
