A RUNNER relaxing after a year in which he ran 1,000 miles for charity saw his fundraising total shoot up after he completed the challenge.
When Phillip Giles did his last six miles on December 30, he had raised around £2,300 for Prostate Cancer UK.
But a week later his wife Georgie Giles told the Herald: “I’ve just spoken to Phil and the money has gone up to nearly £3,500!”
Phillip, of Alton, was inspired by his father, who survived prostate cancer.
