SURREY Wildlife Trust is offering the chance for those ‘wild at heart and goat-ally in love’ to ditch the flowers and chocolates and buy a wild gift for their Valentine this year.
Adopt an otter or goat for just £25 and your truelove will receive an adorable cuddly toy, a personalised adoption certificate, a species fact sheet, a photograph and sticker, and two newsletters a year showing how your support is helping care for Surrey’s beloved wildlife.
“Every adoption helps us with our vital work to protect some of the rarest species and habitats in Surrey,” said Grace Moran, Surrey Wildlife Trust’s adoptions co-ordinator. “It is the perfect gift for nature lovers this Valentine’s Day!”
Every adoption will help Surrey Wildlife Trust carry out improvements to riverbanks, build artificial otter homes and work with landowners to improve river corridors so that otters can move across the county more easily.
Adopting a goat will support the trust’s conservation grazing programme, which helps manage rare wildlife habitats across the county, through the purchase of fencing materials, medical equipment and winter feed.
For more information visit the website www.surreywildlifetrust.org/adopt. Gifts must be ordered by Monday, February 6 to allow time for delivery.
