ENCHANTED Nursery in Alton celebrated its tenth birthday with a free open day attended by more than 200 people.

The four-hour event on the afternoon of September 25 featured stilt walkers, a magic show, circus skills, Face Fanatics face painting, Miller’s Ark Animals, burgers from Posh Scoff, Acorns Coffee and Cake, disco music, balloons, crafts, games, lots of inflatables and a penalty shoot-out.

Laura Smart, manager of the nursery in Anstey Road, said: “It went incredibly well. It gave our current nursery families a chance to meet one another, and us in the team a chance to catch up with past members and see the children we once looked after who are now in secondary school.

“My 11 year old daughter Reyhan (pictured) attended the nursery full-time as a baby and she has now started at Eggar’s. It was wonderful to share the day with her and she enjoyed being a safety monitor and announcing the winners of the art competition.

“I am also celebrating ten years of managing Enchanted Nursery this year, so it was a truly wonderful day to mark such an amazing occasion.”
