ILLICIT dealings, a national spy ring, mistaken intentions and a fish and chip supper are a promising start to an evening’s entertainment at the hands of the Tilbourne Players.

Throw in an appearance by Queen Elizabeth II and you are assured a memorable experience.

Tilbourne Players have been putting the final touches to their one-act play evening which begun last night (Thursday) and will be carrying on tonight and tomorrow from 8pm in the Tilford Institute. This year sees A Question of Attribution by Alan Bennett, and Two Wits to Woo by John Kelly on the bill.

Beautifully contrasting plays, the one light-hearted and set in a crumbling country manor, the other touching on Anthony Blunt’s role in the Cambridge Spy Ring and set at Buckingham Palace – both are comedies that guarantee to raise more than the hint of a smile.

Tickets cost £12, which includes a fish and chip supper, and can be booked on-line at www.tilbourneplayers.org.uk or from Marion on 01252 716329.
