CHILDREN at St Mary’s Infant School in Frensham, are over the moon about their spanking new library.
Transformed from the old school kitchen, the new library is a calm and relaxing space for the youngsters to enjoy reading.
The new library is the oldest of all the school buildings – originally a pub called The Cricketers, it was bought by Dr Cobb when he founded the village school in 1845 and the rest of the school has been built around it.
Headteacher Jennifer Downing said: “It’s a wonderful addition to the school to have this dedicated library space. We are grateful to everyone who helped with the fundraising for the project.”
