ROWLEDGE villagers have voted for their pick of three designs for the refurbishment of the children’s play equipment at Rowledge recreation ground.

Waverley Borough Council invited residents to take part in a survey to select the design for the playground, the results of which were weighted against the council’s own scores.

The council has since awarded a contract to winning designer Wicksteed Playscapes.

The renovated play area will feature more than 30 individual play activities, including a wooden climbing area, a built-in trampoline and bespoke galleon.

All play equipment will be installed into Eco Tumble Safety Surfacing. Work is expected to be completed by the end of March 2018.
