CHURCHGOERS' frustration and anger boiled over at the annual meeting of the Parochial Church Council on Sunday, when Reverend Valentine Inglis-Jones announced changes to service times at both St Mary's and the Liphook Church Centre.

The change will come into effect on June 9 and left many of the older generation of worshippers, who attended the meeting, bitter.

They raised their voices in protest and some even threatened to leave the Anglican church altoghether after their vicar called for an earlier Sunday service to make it easier for young families to attend.
